Since 2011, Thierry Geerts is Country Director of Google Belgium. He graduated as Solvay Business Engineer at the VUB. After his studies, he started working as auditor for Coopers & Lybrand (now PWC), but quite soon his passion for media, online marketing & innovation led him to management & board positions at - among others - Corelio Publishing, Nostalgie, VAR, Clickx & Passe-Partout. In 2008, he became CEO of Corelio Business Development & Arkafund

Thierry is also member of the “Digital Minds for Belgium” of Deputy Prime Minister De Croo, “Le Conseil du Digital” of Walloon Minister of Economy & of the board of IAB Europe.

Clients will always need financial advice, and in addition to that it requires an emotional intelligence that never can be attained by robots.

Thierry believes we are witnessing a new industrial revolution called the digital revolution. According to him, 5 billion people will be connected on the global network in 2020. This revolution will force us to reinvent the way we live & work and will therefore have a strong impact on business, media, mobility, health, etc. Thierry sees how the game is changing & our entire world needs to be reinvented. He admits that this great opportunity can also be seen as a threat, especially for those who do not feel the need to innovate & foresee those opportunities.


Thierry is positioned in the heart of online marketing & innovative entrepreneurship. With a digital revolution changing the way every single sector is working, it is most interesting to discover his views on the way technology & innovation are redefining finance & to find out about the impact digitisation has on how we will do business in the future.
