Sander Van den Dries is co-owner of the Engineering & Design company Comate BVBA in Leuven. After obtaining his Master degree in Electromechanical Engineering (Ing.) and subsequently his Master degree in Management, both at the KU Leuven, he started his career in 2010 as a Sales Engineer at the multibillion company GDF Suez (‘Engie’ nowadays). In spite of 3 interesting years of intensive on and off the job sales ‘training’, he didn’t hesitate when Wouter asked him to join the team of Comate in 2013. After another 3 years and doubling the turnover and number of team members, Sander became a partner. At this moment the team of Comate consists out of 25 Engineers & Designers, developing a broad range of innovative products, going from snow blowing robots to isokinetic test systems. 

Peter Hespel is a Professor in Exercise Physiology at KU Leuven, and Scientific Director of the ‘Bakala Academy’ athletic performance centre. After obtaining his Ph.D. degree at KU Leuven (1987) he spent a 2-year postdoc at the August Krogh Institute, University of Copenhagen. He was appointed as a Professor at KU Leuven in 1989 where he has been teaching courses in exercise physiology, sports nutrition, and endurance training till today.
He has now published about 175 scientific peer-review papers. He acts as training and nutrition consultant for the Belgian Olympic Team and the Belgian national soccer team, the QuickStep pro cycling team, world-class triathletes including Frederik Van Lierde and the Borlee family.
