Marjan Debaene (°1978) is Head of Collections of M-Museum in Leuven. She specializes in late gothic sculpture and early Renaissance painting from the Brabant region. Marjan Debaene has curated a large number of collection presentations in M as well as exhibitions such as ‘Signed, Jan R. The re-discovery of a Renaissance Master’ (2012), 'Plein Air' (2015) and 'Crossing Borders. Medieval Sculpture from the Low Countries' in (2017). Marjan is currently preparing a doctoral thesis on the topic of late gothic Louvain sculpture as well as curating an exhibition on the Brussels sculptorfamily Borman (2019).
