Lisbeth Imbo was born in Geraardsbergen in 1976. From childhood on she loved
books, so it came not as a surprise that she studied Germanic Philology.(UGent)
After a postgraduate degree in Journalism, she started her career as a journalist of
the Flemish Radio and Television Broadcasting Organization (VRT)., first in 2000 as
a reporter and children's theatre critic in ‘Voor De Dag’ and soon as one of the fixed
anchors of ‘De Wandelgangen’.

In 2007 she started ‘De Ochtend’ on Radio 1
together with Gilles De Coster, a breakfast show tackling the news. For some time
she did this in combination with Terzake, a prime time news show on Canvas.’. In
2013 she left the VRT and became deputy editor-in- chief of the newspaper De
Morgen. After 3 years she left the newspaper as editor-in- chief to make programs
again for, amongst others, Canvas (‘Durven Falen’) and VTM (‘Vermassen’) and at
Christmas she also returned to her old love, the radio (‘De Thuiskomers’, Radio 1).
With The Content Makers, a start up with Bart Vandesompele, she wants to bring
people together around themes in search of "the informed opinions" in times of fake
news”. Debates, events, traveling as a means to learn more and give time to new

For Borgerhoff & Lamberigt she wrote her first
book, on the role of God in society. ‘Mag God Nog’ is the result of a 12-hour
conversation with church lawyer Rik Torfs, philosopher and atheist Paul Cliteur and
imam Khalid Banhaddou. On the book fair, the book was released.
