What can we learn from coding?

Economy or education? Ambition or maternity? These are no dilemmas for Katja since her company’s answers include those four factors. On the one hand, Katja has helped other companies on collaboration and co-learning as aspiring Customer Success Director at “Habit of Improvement”. On the other hand, she has built a community platform for young people as founder of the EdTech startup sCooledu.

What can we learn from coding? A lot, as Katja has proven. Digital literacy among youngsters is more than smartly dealing with Facebook or Tinder. In The "Sociaalste School” (“The most social school”) Katja searched for Flemish schools that wear high priority to media literacy and the connection between people and ideas. In her talk Katja describes how distressing situations were alternated with very hopeful projects.

De Antwerpse start-up The Learnscape heeft met sCool een 'educatief verantwoorde' kinderversie van Facebook ontwikkeld. Bedoeling is om het jonge volkje spelenderwijs kennis te laten maken met chatten, het delen van content en online fora.
