Kaat Peeters is manager of the “Sociale Innovatiefabriek”. This organisation does promote, stimulate and facilitate social innovation and social entrepreneurship throughout Flanders and Brussels. Focus is laid on tackling the main social challenges such as poverty, climate change, loneliness and urbanization. Associations as well as enterprises can engage with this accelerator that  further refines concepts, provides expertise, a network, as well as access to financing.

Kaat is also active as lecturer at the University College ‘Erasmushogeschool’ in Brussels where she teaches ‘social innovation’.

Formerly, Kaat was several years active as director of the support center for amateur arts, she worked at the ministry of Culture and has been working as cultural coördinator for a council. As part of these jobs, she established a European network and was responsible, as manager, to develop two newly founded associations into solid organizations. Meanwhile, Kaat ran a shop in Persian and Arabic interior objects and a Bed&Breakfast.
